YES MINISTER! THE BRITISH SAUSAGE!

Those of you who never watched “Yes Minister”  I’m writing about the British Sausage being in their script which was funny and below is the real comparison of what is happening today:

It has come to my attention and has been alleged that our most important commodities, such as Water, are owned by a company in AUSTRALIA.  Electricity a company in FRANCE and Gas a company in the MIDDLE EAST by shareholders that hold more than 50% of these shares in the industries mentioned.  What I want to know is what happened to the BRITISH, and if we are so GREAT how did this happen?  I suppose the answer is we joined the COMMON MARKET, but then we came out and left these commodities behind!  After paying millions to the Belgians for X number of years, we fell flat on our faces!  Who do I blame the then Prime Minister!

Now it seems that our current Prime Minister is spending money like water!  What with the Cost of Living Crisis, plus the Wars in the Middle East, is this the time to spend THREE BILLION on re-entering BREXIT and according to one National Newspaper he has done this SNEAKILY, which in itself is not surprising, as Ministers and Local Councillors seem to practice this gambit on everything they do!  It makes you think are they really serving the public or themselves, and I always think the latter as I can see now no evidence in anything they do that has benefitted the public!  I can actually vouch this as being true:

Our houses and the path and steps were built SIXTY FIVE YEARS AGO and the COUNCIL has not maintained one part of the path or steps in that period of time and before anybody asks, How do you know the path belongs to the Council?  It is the STREET LAMP that is situated halfway up the path that gives the game away!  Since Eastbourne Council decided to change the lighting to the TOC H SYSTEM the lighting is not very good.  The path slabs are at all different angles and some are higher than others and the concrete steps are lethal and need a handrail, especially for people going out at night. The Council agreed to place one there, but as usual, have gone back on their word.  It is almost a year since they agreed.

Just received a wonderful suggestion regarding the state of Eastbourne Carpet Gardens, change it to a gravestone area and bury the Councillors who thought it was a good idea.  Somebody informed me that all of Eastbourne was turning into a SLUM AREA.  Is it going down-hill fast?  Is it the one resort I try to avoid visiting?  It has been a long time since I dipped my foot in the sea!

I can remember the last time this Council proffered the public views of what to do with the Carpet Gardens and when they got the answers, they totally ignored it, didn’t like the answers they got and didn’t bother to have a meeting with the public to talk about the gardens and built that Toilet for animals on the sea front!  It was alleged the Council paid someone £40,000.  What a waste of money, especially when you think, they’ve used pebbles from the beach and ten packets of grass seed from a well-known store in Eastbourne.
