BAD HABITS PASSED ON!
The labour Members of Parliament seem to be happier when they are digging up dirt onto their own leader, instead of getting on with governing the people who voted them on as their trusted representative and all they seem to do is waste valuable time bickering on things that don’t matter. It is amazing what members feel is important enough for them to attend and discuss an issue that is worthy of more than twenty people. Potholes and uneven pavements doesn’t seem to grab people’s attention so much when quite a lot of the populace end up in their local hospital with broken bones and deep cuts.

When it came to Lord Mandelson, the house was full and the opposition accusing the Prime Minister of misleading them. I’m sorry, but has the law changed? I didn’t know the opposition could accuse anybody without substantial proof. Obvious, when you became leader of the opposition you were given a licence to accuse people of a felony without substantial proof! Hearsay of third hearing doesn’t count!
All of these misdemeanours seem to pass down to the local Council, it seems it is their tradition to state something positive to members of the public they govern and then reverse their decision without consultation. Eastbourne’ Carpet Gardens seem to be a prime subject. It is obvious they can’t be trusted, whatever the excuse they come up with, which always seems a load of twaddle. I have a letter from the leader of local Council that I pinned on the wall in my office and talk about a murder mystery that has more twists and turns, this letter beats all!
I understand that some of the residents of Abbey Road are pleased. A few months ago some residents wanted a handrail installed down by some dangerous, uneven concrete steps which the Council agreed to do. Have they done anything about it? NO!
The company the Council contracted to do the job turned up, and wanted to place them on someone’s land and concrete them in. They didn’t want to do it properly by lifting up the slabs and setting them level and concreting them as an anchor, so that the downward part of the handrail was stable.
No they wanted to make a hash of it. Unsafe to use and on someone’s land, the cheapest way and yet they allow someone to have secret projects that cost the TAX PAYER thousands of pounds.
These steps and path have not been maintained by the local Council since the houses were built 66 years ago!
The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding the content – please do so! Swear words are not accepted
