GHASTLY! GHASTLY!

Eastbourne has decided to keep holiday makers away from their shores by changing the wonderful Carpet Gardens into Cats and Dogs litter trays as described by Hoteliers and guests.  I spoke to someone who was staying at the Langham Hotel how disappointed she was having told a friend of hers of the wonderful display that Eastbourne Carpet Gardens had each year and to take a photograph, only to find a display of pebbles from the beach and clumps of grass growing.

Cats and Dogs only need to raise one hind leg to do their duty.

I just wonder how many thousands of pounds given to the person who produced such a ghastly display and what was going on through the minds of the Councillors who allowed this display to happen!  I can only think it has got to be another “White Elephant” job only the Council are capable of doing.

Eastbourne is not as good as it was once, in fact this is one more incident that makes Eastbourne another dive on “The chart of where I would like to spend my holiday.” However, Eastbourne Borough Council said it was “moving with the times” and had chosen plants to help reduce its carbon footprint this year.

The Council concerned with all things such as this monstrosity tell us they are strapped for cash and grass that needs cutting on parts of the pavements in Eastbourne will not be cut until they repair all 27 toilets that should be completed this year and for ONE POUND FOR A PEE they will soon have enough MONEY to cut the grass.

The Council are going to cut more services by TWO POINT SEVEN MILLION POUNDS.  I thought they already had and so the safety that the Council are always stating is uppermost in their minds is going to be non-existent, what with POTHOLES AND THE UNEVEN PAVEMENTS AND PATHS LEADING TO HOUSES that the TORIES left for FOURTEEN YEARS IN CHARGE, are not going to be sorted and made safe!

For those that have reached STATE PENSION AGE check your eligibility for Attendance allowance.  This can help with extra costs if you have a long-term physical or mental condition or disability.  It could also be spent on all other types of home help, or on equipment to help you stay independent.

This of course, if you don’t mind, jumping through all the questionable hoops that these people think of.  You might think you are confident and your eyes are blue and that won’t make the slightest difference.  Another titbit you could get, if you‘re lucky – extra Pension Credit, Housing Benefit or Council Tax Reduction if you get Attendance Allowance, and you do not have to have someone caring for you in order to claim.
