Political Complexities
Weaving in criss-cross fashion that all governments do to hoodwink the public that their statements are true, they promise that they will support the needy as soon as possible, say in two years. But the extra TAX has to start in one month’s time. Something along those lines is the usual ploy, making the needy poorer in the meantime and then penalising those that can’t make the grade.
Having checked the Junior and Resident Doctors 9 to 5 working week, their pay is not as truthful as the government leads you to believe.
A Junior and Resident Doctor may have to visit a patient who can’t be moved on an all night visual. Admittedly they do get extra, but not to the extent stated by the authorities and remember the Doctor in question will have to do paperwork, in fact he or she has to be computer literate as well. Can’t be an easy job.
Looking at the NHS and trying to understand their strategy and why so much money had been wasted on “White Elephants!,” the Labour Party researched this area and found the Conservatives had put in place an impossible scheme.
There were so many “White Elephants!” It felt more like a ZOO than the NHS!
Hundreds of Organisations responsible for overseeing and running parts of the NHS in England will be scrapped. Those to be abolished include Heathwatch England, which advocates on behalf of patients, and the National Guardian’s Office, which supports Whistle Blowers. The Health Secretary said the current system was too complex and the NHS needed more doers and fewer checkers. In total 201 organisations will be scrapped, including bodies set up by the last Conservative government to develop health plans for their local areas.
My mind is confused ‘Why did we need “WHISTLE BLOWERS?”’ One thing comes to mind, perhaps to make the job too expensive and untenable to run and therefore an excuse to close it.
Ministers said there were more than 150 bodies responsible for regulating or assessing healthcare services in England, and they risked overwhelming staff with “uncoordinated” guidance.
Over the past decade and a half, an overly complex system of healthcare regulation and oversight has been left to spiral out of control.
However, NHS leaders would encourage the government to not forget the failings that led to these bodies being set up in the first place and tread carefully so as to ensure their vital missions continue in future.
The chief executive of Healthwatch England, which is being scrapped under the plans, said it was “clearly a sad day” for staff and volunteers.
The NHS Confederation warned it would have to be carefully designed to stop hospitals being penalised for issues beyond their immediate control such as difficulties recruiting staff and the poor state of some hospital buildings.
Patients seen as an ‘inconvenience’
Days before the release of the government’s 10-year health plan, the new head of NHS England has said too many “fossilised” ways of working have been retained by the health service.
The Conservative Government by their own admittance concocted an impossible scheme in running the local NHS Eastbourne and Hasting Hospitals and that all the problems relating to this scheme have been some of the issues that some patients have met. For example: Telephoning the hospital because of a relative being attended to and not getting a reply!
Surely not the fault of an individual, but a shortage of staff issue because the government although stated that it intended to get more staff trained as Doctors and Nurses were short sighted in the fact that doctors training time was seven years and nurses slightly shorter.
A simple scheme plus more staff for both hospitals should have started at the beginning of their 14 years of government, instead of the last minute of panic and deception. It was Doris’s intention to close down the local hospital, but he caught Covid, which was a blessing in disguise.
The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding this content – please do so! Swear words are not accepted.
