A Tale of Three Stories

I have had a short holiday from my column since my wife took a terrible tumble one night, feeling dizzy, she fell backwards, so to the rescue after the Paramedics eventually turned up, I became her Carer and she is slowly getting better which is the good news!

With the events of the our political days streaming by with all sorts of problems, like the several cease fires and both sides waving the white flag and one side not knowing what a white flag stood for and kept shelling the side it was supposed to have ceased fire to allow hostages to be released was beyond belief!

In another part of the world, an almost two and a half year war is going on and on with no hint of the Russian Ruler wanting peace!  Whether it was America’s main man, desperately wanting a cease fire by shouting the odds or whether it was something to do with the penetrating missiles he jokingly said he was going to give to the other side to level the playing field was another matter.

Nobody takes any notice in what I have said in the past and what many persons have said in the past, present and possibly future, that in war, nobody wins!  I am now 90 and I was privy to the last World War.  I was four when it started and ten when it finished and our group of houses and our road was just a bomb site and looking back at the horrors that befell our little kingdom is not worth a farthing!

All nations want to take a breather and sit back and look at the devastation that some are causing and have caused and for what reason and I bet nobody can come up with a sensible and reasonable answer.  Can nobody live in PEACE!

On another subject, since when has China been part of our government informing us citizens of consequences if we don’t comply to their demands to build Mega Embassy in London?  Is this another country wanting the UK?

A statement from a spokesperson: “We once again call on the UK to fulfil its obligation and honour its commitments at once, otherwise the consequences arising from this shall be borne by the UK side.”

Sounds like a threat to me and how many items that people in England receive that item have “Made in China” written on them.  Perhaps the consequences will be on China’s side.  This does sound like a terribly dangerous situation.

The Conservatives and Liberal Democrats have urged the government to throw out China’s application.

The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding this content – please do so!  Swear words are not accepted.
